Solar Eclipse

April 4, 2024 Admin

We would like to keep residents safe in the days leading up to and including the day of the eclipse.  Please be aware that there will likely be many people in the area unfamiliar with our roads and unsure as to where they want to go to experience the solar eclipse.  Be extra careful at stop signs and intersections to make sure the other driver is recognizing the signs.  People may be parked on the side of the road or in areas that may be burdensome to navigate, so please allow extra time if you need to travel.

While we have no official events planned, there are many in the county and parking is expensive at many of the events.  Those who want to experience it “off the beaten path” and park for free may travel here or stop on the side of the road.  I-75 is expected to be heavily congested on April 8th between the hours of 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  Major roads will likely be congested as well.  Enjoy the experience and be safe!
